The Redmi 14R 5G is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 4 mobile platform, accompanied by LPDDR4X memory and UFS2.2 flash storage. It packs a 5160mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. In terms of camera, the device comes equipped with a 13MP main camera and a 5MP front camera. Additionally, the Redmi 14R 5G features 1216G speakers, a 0809 earpiece, retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, and comes pre-installed with the Pangu OS system.
Overall, the Redmi 14R 5G is positioned as a value-for-money model, suitable for use as a senior phone or a backup phone.
As time progresses, information about the next-generation flagship Redmi Note 14 series has also been gradually revealed. According to the blogger @DigitalChatStation, the Redmi Note 14 series will still be positioned as a mid-range model, focusing on thinness and flagship-level exterior design. The main camera and screen configuration will also be quite impressive.
It is reported that the internal code names for the series are "Beryl", "Amethyst", and "Malachite", which are expected to correspond to the standard version, Pro, and Pro+ versions, respectively. Among them, the Redmi Note 14 5G with the model number 24094RAD4G has obtained FCC certification. The information reveals that the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chip, comes pre-installed with the Pangu HyperOS 1.0 system, supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and 5GNR frequency bands, and is equipped with a 33W charger.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ models have model numbers 24094RAD4C and 24090RA29C, respectively. The Redmi Note 14 Pro will feature a plastic middle frame + 1.5K centered single-hole dual micro-curved screen, supporting short-focus optical fingerprint unlocking. The rear camera will include a 50MP large-aperture lens, and the possibility of introducing a periscope telephoto lens cannot be ruled out. The Redmi Note 14 Pro is expected to be the first to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen3 processor, which has single-core performance comparable to the Snapdragon 7 Gen3 but lags behind in multi-core performance. Based on the rendered images, the Redmi Note 14 Pro's camera module will include three cameras, no longer located in the upper left corner but adopting a centered design scheme.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ will be the first to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 processor, manufactured using TSMC's second-generation 4nm process technology, with a peak frequency of up to 3.0GHz. With the Arm Mali-G610 GPU and NPU657's 5.0 game engine and mobile display technology, it is expected to deliver a better gaming experience and image quality in low-light environments.
For reference, the Redmi Note 13 Pro features a 6.67-inch four-narrow-bezel OLED straight screen with a resolution of 27121220; a 16MP selfie camera; a 200MP main camera + 8MP ultra-wide-angle + 2MP macro lens; a Snapdragon 7s Gen2 processor; a 5100mAh battery; and support for 67W fast charging.
From this information, it can be seen that the new Redmi Note 14 series will still focus on value for money as its core selling point, making corresponding improvements on the imaging, performance, and other configurations of its predecessor. The series is rumored to be officially launched this month. However, the authenticity of these leaks is not yet confirmed, and further confirmation from the official is still awaited.
