Samsung officially announced that it will hold the Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024 on November 21st, with a live stream available online. The event will focus on user experiences for Samsung Electronics' software and device platforms and is expected to reveal information about the highly anticipated OneUI7 system.

Industry insiders have revealed that Samsung has commenced testing the OneUI7 system update for the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy S24 series phones. The main reason for the delayed update is a comprehensive system overhaul, encompassing not only UI adjustments but also visual enhancements.

OneUI7 will introduce several practical features, including:

• New Icon Design: Enhanced icon recognition for easier app identification.

• Smart Notification Management: Improved lock screen design for convenient notification viewing.

• Homework Help Feature: Based on the new system, users can utilize the select-and-search feature to solve math, physics, and history problems, providing explanations, videos, and results without switching apps.

• Parental Control Features: To protect the online safety of minors, new parental monitoring features are added, allowing parents to set accessible websites and apps for their children and track their real-time location.

• Photo Enhancement Features: Supports the use of AI technology to add depth effects to photos, enabling effortless portrait redesign; generative AI can transform hand-drawn sketches into vibrant images, supporting various artistic styles.

• SketchtoImage Feature: More options are provided for the SketchtoImage feature launched for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, allowing users to create images from scratch, with support for generating different styles such as 3D cartoons, sketches, and watercolors.

• Energy Score Feature: Helps users better understand their health status and provides healthy tips to improve their quality of life.

Samsung also emphasizes security in OneUI7, continuing to rely on Samsung Knox technology to ensure user privacy and security.

Beyond the OneUI7 system, rumors suggest that Samsung is developing an ultra-thin version of the Galaxy S25Slim phone, aiming to compete with Apple's iPhone 17Slim. Based on relevant leaks, the iPhone 17Slim will utilize aluminum material, targeting the "ultra-thin body" design as its core selling point. Its thickness might even be thinner than the 7.8mm of the standard iPhone 16, suggesting the Samsung Galaxy S25Slim will likely maintain a similar thickness.

Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S25 will feature a 6.16-inch screen, the Plus version a 6.66-inch screen, and the Ultra version a 6.86-inch screen. To offset the cost impact of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, the Galaxy S25 series phones will continue using the M13 panel from the S24 series. This implies that the S25Slim phone could also adopt similar SoC configurations.
