On the occasion of the third anniversary of OpenGauss open source, the community is rapidly developing and is about to usher in an ecological turning point. Changjiang Dayong, a member of the OpenGauss Community Council, stated that as of now, nearly 260 companies have joined the community, nearly 5000 developers have contributed to the community, and the total number of community code lines has exceeded 15 million. The community adheres to technological innovation and has released 7 community versions as scheduled. Multiple community partners have launched database commercial distribution versions based on OpenGauss, which are widely used in core scenarios of ten key industries such as government, finance, operators, power, manufacturing, and healthcare. In 2023, OpenGauss is expected to break through 20% of the market share in non clustered Chinese style scenarios, crossing the ecological turning point.
In the OpenGauss 5.0 version launched in March this year, OpenGauss has undergone significant upgrades to its architecture and kernel:
In terms of architecture innovation, OpenGauss adheres to user scenario driven approach and continues to carry out architecture innovation. Focusing on user needs and pain points such as multimodal polymorphism and intelligent operation and maintenance, it has launched the DataPod+DataKit combination to create a new data base.
In the future, OpenGauss hopes to achieve breakthroughs in database technology through dual engine drivers of kernel and architecture, and contribute wisdom to the development of global databases.
As an open source database for data infrastructure, openGauss supports mainstream database applications in the north, diversified computing power in the south, and the rich ecology in the north and south accelerates the launch of openGauss into the core business scenario. Since three years of open source, openGauss has launched seven community versions. DBV partners have released commercial releases based on community releases, and users have deeply customized user self use versions based on community releases. These versions have covered rich scenarios of digital infrastructure, including relational oriented integrated Chinese, KV databases, geographical spatial database, timing databases, etc.
In order to better meet the needs of industry segmentation scenarios and fully leverage the advantages of OpenGauss database and Kunpeng hardware software and hardware collaboration, the OpenGauss community will collaborate with partners to launch a database all-in-one solution with "full stack trust", "full stack security", "out of the box", and "minimal operation and maintenance".
At the meeting, the first batch of database all-in-one machine products based on the OpenGauss distribution were also released. The database all-in-one machine products all adopt a fully open architecture design, based on the open Kunpeng server hardware and the OpenGauss open source database, providing customers with a new choice of open, secure, autonomous innovation, and long-term evolution enterprise level database solutions.
In order to enhance the professional service capabilities of the openGauss community, the professional guarantee service for openGauss partners has been officially released. (Quiet)
