IT Home, September 24 - OPPO today announced its status as a global partner for the League of Legends S14 World Championship, with the tournament kicking off its play-in stage tomorrow (September 25th) at 8 PM Beijing time. Besides the esports partnership, OPPO also released a promotional video, taking the opportunity to reveal its upcoming flagship smartphone series, the OPPO Find X8.
Zhou Yibo, OPPO Find product manager, previously shared that the Find X8 series will achieve a weight control under 200g, being thinner and lighter than its predecessor with a smaller size, larger battery capacity, and a less prominent camera bump. The promotional video shows that the Find X8 series will continue to carry the iconic large circular rear camera module design.
According to previous reports from IT Home, Zhou Yibo showcased a new device with a black protective case during a livestream on September 9th, which was identified as the OPPO Find X8 by blogger @DigitalChatStation. The livestream footage revealed that the phone's UI style resembles the current ColorOS 14 version, with the desktop assistant 'Xiaobu' supporting swipe-to-page transitions. The front camera area also displays app live activities, with the blogger noting that Fluid Cloud has been replaced by a centered Dynamic Island.
