On October 10th, at the 2024 vivo Developer Conference, vivo officially launched its new AI strategy "Blue Heart Intelligence," unveiling comprehensive upgrades to its self-developed Blue Heart large model matrix, OriginOS 5, BlueOS 2, and showcasing vivo's latest achievements in security, humanization, and ecosystem collaboration.

Whether it's the pressure applied to the screen, circling text or images, or dragging a piece of address information, the multimodal large model deeply interprets user intent, providing appropriate feedback and services.

Building upon its text capabilities, Blue Heart XiaoV now possesses powerful voice representation understanding and generation capabilities, allowing the phone to engage in natural conversations with humans, translate languages, mimic human voices, and even understand emotions within conversations.

2. Restructuring the service experience between humans and the digital world for more personalized intelligence:

Leveraging the Blue Heart large model, vivo has comprehensively upgraded the basic functions of the smartphone and built a framework and platform for connecting services, allowing people to find services while simultaneously having services proactively match their needs.

At this year's developer conference, vivo unveiled its new self-developed Blue Heart large model matrix, comprehensively upgrading language and on-device large model capabilities, and introducing vivo's self-developed voice, image, and multimodal large models.

In terms of language large models, the Blue Heart cloud-based large model with hundreds of billions of parameters has focused on optimizing intent understanding and distribution as well as task planning capabilities, resulting in a 30% overall performance improvement, continuing to lead the domestic first tier on the SuperCLUE and C-EVAL leaderboards.

For on-device large models, vivo officially released the new 3 billion parameter Blue Heart on-device large model 3B, which can match the performance of industry 7B-9B models in dialogue writing, summarization, information extraction, and other capabilities. Compared to Blue Heart 7B, performance has improved by 300%, power consumption has been optimized by 46%, and word generation speed has reached 80 words per second.

Additionally, vivo has also introduced its new self-developed Blue Heart voice large model capable of accurately understanding natural language and mimicking human voices; the Blue Heart image large model, which reinforces the integration of Chinese characteristics and Eastern aesthetics in generative capabilities; and the Blue Heart multimodal large model, which enhances visual perception and understanding capabilities.

OriginOS 5 makes its debut: Natural, Smooth, and Super AI-powered:

Adhering to the design philosophy of "natural, comfortable, and intuitive," vivo has integrated its technological achievements in AI, battery life, communication, and its insights into the fundamental mobile experience, design, and humanization aspects, resulting in the launch of the new generation operating system OriginOS 5.

In OriginOS 5, Blue Heart XiaoV and Jovi Voice have merged, offering a more natural voice interaction experience. New interaction methods have been added, such as long-pressing at the bottom of the screen to bring up "XiaoV Search."

Based on the Blue Heart multimodal large model technology, vivo has introduced the new XiaoV Circle Search feature, combining image recognition and circle selection interaction for precise object search, providing users with a more convenient "circle and search" experience.

OriginOS 5 has also upgraded the "Atomic Island" feature, utilizing the powerful intent recognition capabilities of Blue Heart XiaoV to proactively provide users with follow-up services. Furthermore, it offers a more flexible design to meet user multi-tasking needs.

OriginOS 5 upgrades include "XiaoV Suggestions," which provides intelligent services throughout the day in the form of desktop widgets; "XiaoV Help Record," which supports simultaneous translation; "vivo Input Method," which incorporates "XiaoV Writing" capabilities; and "XiaoV Time Shadow," which supports one-click editing and AI-customized song creation. In terms of smoothness, OriginOS 5 has built a comprehensive smooth experience encompassing light and shadow, interaction, morphological switching, and scene transitions, undergoing over 1,000 optimizations to enhance fluidity.

At the system bottom layer, OriginOS 5's unfair scheduling mechanism has been upgraded to version 3.0, introducing the GPU unfair scheduling mechanism, Ledger memory ledger mechanism, and memory ledger for the first time, while the virtual graphics card has been upgraded to the more powerful version 2.0.

In network communication, OriginOS 5 has achieved groundbreaking technological breakthroughs and comprehensive experience upgrades. Based on Bluetooth, it has achieved industry-first kilometer-level wireless communication technology, supporting point-to-point voice communication and text chat at a distance of over 1.5 kilometers in wireless open environments.

Powered by the Lanhe Kernel, BlueOS 2: Full-stack self-developed, born for AI:

At this year's developer conference, the newly upgraded BlueOS 2 also made its appearance. It is equipped with the Lanhe Kernel, a real-time operating system kernel written in the Rust language, possessing security, universality, and high performance characteristics. It is capable of supporting different embedded platforms and has complete system scheduling, memory management, file system, network, and device management capabilities.

BlueOS 2 constructs a more intelligent system architecture, with the bottom layer comprised of the self-developed Blue Heart large model and the VCAP inference computing acceleration platform, supporting flexible cloud-edge deployment of Blue Heart large models with different parameters and supporting various AI algorithms such as vision and voice.
