Vivo, known for its innovative approach, showcased the upcoming vivo X200 and iQOO 13 at its developer conference. While the former offered a glimpse of its design, the latter only displayed its illuminated screen, yet it showcased iQOO's ambition. iQOO 13 aims to be the king of smooth performance, a goal that requires two critical elements: a top-tier processor and optimal optimization.

iQOO 13 has already appeared on the Geekbench database, confirming its use of the next-generation top-of-the-line processor for the Android camp Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, otherwise known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Geekbench results show a single-core score of 3185 and a multi-core score of 9932 for iQOO 13. These are just benchmark results from an engineering model, and the performance is expected to improve further after optimization with the production model.

Snapdragon 8 Elite features two ultra-large cores running at 4.32GHz, and six Oryon large cores clocked at 3.53GHz, paired with the Adreno 830 GPU. The iQOO 13 in this benchmark test is equipped with 16GB RAM and pre-installed with Vivo's latest OriginOS 5 operating system.

With both key pillars of a smooth performance king in place, the focus now shifts to its thermal performance and software optimization. Although the device hasn't been officially released, industry insiders have revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite prototype delivers exceptional performance alongside impressive energy efficiency, eliminating the "fire dragon" concern.

Beyond performance, iQOO 13 boasts a noteworthy screen. iQOO specially customized a BOE 2K pure straight screen, which the company describes as BOE's latest luminous material, signifying a new peak in Chinese screen technology. iQOO's product manager has been constantly highlighting the advantages of this screen, indicating a significant investment in hardware from the brand.

Overall, iQOO 13, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a newly customized screen, has demonstrated its potential to become the king of smooth performance. However, its true performance will be revealed upon its official launch.
