Xiaomi Takes the Crown! Double Eleven Reshapes the Smartphone Market, Who Will Emerge as the Ultimate Winner?
On November 8th, industry insider "Wisdom Chip Guide" released data on domestic smartphone market activation volume for the previous week (October 28th to November 3rd). This week, coinciding with the official start of Double Eleven, competition among brands heated up, leading to significant shifts in the market landscape.
Xiaomi, fueled by the strong sales of the Xiaomi 15 Series, claimed the top spot with a 22.55% market share. This new device garnered widespread market recognition upon its release, becoming the best-selling flagship Android phone in the current market, contributing significantly to Xiaomis victory.
The Huawei group secured second place with a 17.90% market share, with Huawei brand accounting for 16.39% and Huawei Smart Selection contributing 1.51%.
Apple secured third place with a market share of 16.34%.
The OPPO group achieved fourth place with a 14.47% market share, with OPPO itself capturing 11.63%, OnePlus 2.03%, and realme 0.80%. OPPO X8's success exceeded expectations, becoming a bright spot for the OPPO group this week.
Vivo reached fifth position with a 14.23% market share, with Vivo holding 9.54% and iQOO 4.70%. Despite launching three new models in the Vivo X200 series and the iQOO 13, bringing their total to four new phones, the Vivo group's ranking not only failed to improve but even declined week-over-week, a surprising outcome.
Honor occupied sixth place with a 11.43% market share, trailing behind other mainstream brands.
It's noteworthy that if we consider the conventional ranking (including Smart Selection for Huawei and realme for OPPO), the rankings would shift as follows:
- Xiaomi, Huawei, and Apple would remain unchanged.
- Vivo would rise to fourth.
- OPPO would drop to fifth.
- Honor would retain its sixth place.
The changes in ranking this week were dramatic, particularly Xiaomi's victory, which surprised many.
The coming week will witness even more intense competition. With the official launch of the Honor Magic7 series, new offerings from all brands will enter the market. As we transition to regular sales periods, the key focus will be on which brands can sustain their momentum and emerge as true market favorites.
Industry experts have promised a comparison once these new devices have been commercially available for four weeks, determining who ultimately claims victory.
This smartphone market battle has just begun. Let's watch with anticipation to see who will ultimately rise to the top!
