After developer Andrew Tsai conducted in-depth research and checked the relevant source code, it was basically confirmed that the simulation tool is actually based on CA modified version of Wine for rossOver21.1.1.

Tsai also demonstrated the effect of simulating running Windows games on the macOS platform, which should be running under Rosetta2,And can use DirectX12 to render games.

IT Home previously reported that before the WWDC2023 Developer Conference, development company CodeWeavers announced that CrossOver will support Microsoft DirectX12 this summer, which is good news for game players.

CrossOver is a Windows emulator suitable for macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS, developed based on Wine, which allows these systems to run Windows applications locally.
