Cailian News Agency, June 13th (Editor Huang Junzhi)Tesla's charging system (NACS standard) has been widely praised for its simplicity, ease of use, and efficiency. In recent times, it has also received support from more and more car manufacturers and charging equipment providers, with a trend to replace the current industry standard CCS.

In just one day on Monday, four Western companies announced acceptance of the NACS standard, namely BlinkCharging, which operates EV charging stations in the United States, ChargePoint, which claims to operate the largest network of EV charging stations in North America and Europe, Tritium, an Australian manufacturer of EV charger hardware and software, and WallboxNV, a smart EV charging and energy management service provider in Spain.

These companies have stated that as CCS is no longer favored by automakers, they will provide chargers that are compatible with Tesla NACS. NACS differs from CCS commonly used in Europe and Asia in that it has no moving parts, is smaller in size, has higher power, and can provide drivers with a better charging experience.

After they announced this news, the stocks of these four companies all recorded significant gains. BlinkCharging closed up about 9.4%, Wallbox closed up about 6%, ChargePoint closed up about 6.8%, and Tritium closed up about 5.6%.

Tesla closed up for the twelfth consecutive trading day, marking its longest consecutive day of gains since its listing in June 2010 and reaching a new high since the end of September last year.

General Motors, one of the largest automakers in the United States, announced last week that it will install the charging port used by Tesla, known as NACS, in its electric vehicles starting from 2025. This is another traditional American automaker that supports Tesla standards after Ford. According to media statistics, through these collaborations, Tesla charging ports will occupy 60% of the US electric vehicle market share.

BlinkCharging said that at the 2023 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the company demonstrated its new DC fast charger, which also provides two charging modes, NACS and CCS, and is currently in the final stage of design.

Considering recent announcements from Tesla, General Motors, and Ford, we clearly see that the electric vehicle charging industry is constantly evolving as technology advances and industry stakeholders gather to evaluate best practices, "the company added.

Securities firm PiperSandler predicts that Tesla's charging network revenue will reach approximately $9.65 billion by 2032, with over half of its sales coming from other electric vehicle manufacturers using the network.
