On October 18th, IT Home reported that a research team under Microsoft recently published a paper detailing the "credibility" and potential toxicity of Large Language Models (LLMs),Pay special attention to OpenAI's GPT-4 and its predecessor GPT-3.5.

The research team found that although GPT-4 is more reliable than GPT-3.5 in standard benchmark testing, it is susceptible to "prison break" prompts (bypassing model security measures). GPT-4 may generate harmful content based on these "jailbreak" prompts.

The paper emphasizes that GPT-4 is more susceptible to malicious "jailbreak" systems or user prompts, accurately following (misleading) instructions and generating malicious content. Microsoft emphasizes that this potential vulnerability will not affect current customer facing services.

IT Home has attached the Microsoft official paper address for interested users to read in depth.
