On October 21st, IT Home reported that astronomers recently took photos of Jupiter through the James Weber Telescope,Monitoring revealed a far exceeding expected strong jet stream, with intensity even exceeding a Category 5 hurricane.

IT Home Note: Jet refers to a narrow strong wind belt, which is an important feature of atmospheric circulation. The jet stream belt observed on the weather map bends and extends from west to east around the Earth for several thousand kilometers, with a horizontal width of about thousands of meters and a vertical thickness of several thousand meters to over ten kilometers.

The report states that this jet stream has a bandwidth of 3000 miles (4800 kilometers) and a velocity of 320 miles/hour (515 kilometers/hour), almost twice the wind speed of the clouds below, or twice the wind speed of a Category 5 hurricane on Earth, ravaging Saturn in a destructive and destructive manner.

The early scientific program released by the Weber Telescope was jointly led by astronomer Imke de Pater from the University of California, Berkeley, and astronomer Thierry Fouchet from the Paris Observatory. The aim was to take photos of Jupiter every 10 hours (one day of Jupiter) using four different filters, each capable of detecting small changes in the atmospheric characteristics of Jupiter at different heights.
