On May 26, it was reported that recently, Gartner Top25, the global supply chain list, announced its new year's ranking. Lenovo Group was again shortlisted and recorded the best ranking in history, ranking No. 8, surpassing Wal Mart, Tesla, Siemens and other multinational enterprises. This is also Lenovo Group once again ranking first in the Asia Pacific region, and another Chinese company that has been shortlisted, Alibaba, is ranked 23rd this year.

In recent years, multiple external challenges such as material shortages, energy price increases, logistics disruptions, demand fluctuations, and natural disasters have frequently disrupted the global supply chain. Affected by this, the supply chain capability rankings of ICT industry giants such as Intel, HP, and Dell inevitably decline (Intel dropped from 7th to 16th, HP dropped from 15th to 21st, Dell dropped from 17th to 19th, data source: Gartner). Lenovo Group has honed its supply chain capabilities in the face of adversity, with its ranking rising instead of falling, from 9th to 8th.

Since the release of the Gartner Global Supply Chain Top 25 list, Lenovo Group has been shortlisted 9 times, making it the most frequently listed Chinese enterprise. Another Chinese company, Alibaba, has been listed 5 times so far.

Supply chain resilience is the key to maintaining the competitiveness of a company, "said Yang Yuanqing, Chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group. As a high-tech manufacturing enterprise, global supply chain is the core of Lenovo Group's operations.

At present, Lenovo Group has more than 30 manufacturing bases worldwide. Last year, Tianjin Innovation Park, Shenzhen Southern Intelligent Manufacturing Base, and Hungary Budapest's new factory were successfully laid out, consolidating the domestic manufacturing layout of "East West North South" and overseas. Through its own factory+ODM hybrid manufacturing model and "global resource/local delivery" operation model, Lenovo Group has improved manufacturing flexibility and ensured rapid decision-making and efficient operation of the supply chain.

In May this year, Guan Wei, senior vice president of Lenovo Group and head of global supply chain, announced that Lenovo would launch Digital transformation 2.0 of global supply chain, saying that it would achieve Digital transformation with all partners in the next five years, and achieve proactive data analysis driven business decision-making, implementation and human-computer interaction closed-loop management.
