Meituan collaborates with merchants and users to donate 666 rural children's playgrounds in total

It is reported that the Meituan "Rural Children's Playground" public welfare plan was initiated by Meituan Public Welfare United Charity Organization, aiming to lay multi-functional playgrounds for rural children in underdeveloped areas and help them grow up healthily.

On June 1st, Meituan released the latest data showing that as of the end of May this year, with the joint support of 394000 public welfare businesses and 120000 caring netizens, a total of 666 playgrounds have been donated and built, covering 15 provinces and autonomous regions such as Guizhou, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Tibet, and Qinghai, and 100000 rural children have directly benefited. Starting from 2023, we have achieved the goal of donating one playground per day for rural children.

The person in charge of Meituan stated that since 2020, the project has laid over 3.1 million patchwork floors, with a total playground area of nearly 300000 square meters. "In the future, we will continue to work with all sectors of society to connect caring businesses, consumers, and rural children with digital technology, and jointly build a low threshold, long-term sustainable, open, transparent, and traceable benign public welfare ecosystem.

It is understood that the Meituan "Rural Children's Playground" public welfare plan was first implemented in Guizhou Province. As of the end of May, a total of 613 playgrounds have been donated and built in Guizhou, benefiting 84000 rural children directly.
