IT Home reported on October 19th that Codasip has recently launched the RISC-VCustomCompute700 series of processors, which can meet customer needs and application scenarios,Flexibly adjusting core configurations can not only effectively improve performance, but also better control costs.
The 700 series processors can be equipped with both embedded processors and application processors, making them flexible and suitable for different scenarios.
CodasipStudio enables different levels of processor optimization for each use case through analysis. In short, this advanced processor design tool provides predictable results and shortens time to market through validated highly automated methods.
The first processor in this series is called A730, which has already delivered samples to some customers and is the core of a 64 bit RISC-V application. This processor is capable of running Linux and offers single core and multi-core configurations, with configuration options that increase its performance by twice compared to previous generations.
Product Manager FilipBenna explained: We understand that customers want to easily differentiate their products. By providing different starting points for embedded processors and application processors, we simplify the path to achieving appropriate optimization levels in a simplified design process. With the 700 series and Codasip custom computing, designers can extend their technological boundaries by optimizing at the chip or application level, thereby gaining unique advantages while effectively managing costs
Customized computing can be achieved through architecture enhancement, application analysis, hardware/software collaborative optimization, and domain specific acceleration. Codasip states that it provides support for custom computing by establishing a design foundation based on modular RISC-VISA, processor design automation suite, Codasip Studio, and a series of basic embedded and application cores designed for easy fine-tuning.
The official description of IT Home is as follows: Codasip, as a leading RISC-V supplier and processor solution leader in Europe, assists developers in product innovation with unique technology. Codasip is based in Europe and has a global perspective, currently achieving layout in billions of chips.
