Guangxi improves supporting facilities and facilitates the transportation of automobiles to rural areas

As of the end of December 2022, China Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid Company has invested in the construction of approximately 14000 charging stations in the entire region, completing the full coverage of 1020 township charging stations in the power supply area, paving the way for new energy vehicles to smoothly enter the countryside.

In 2021, Guangxi implemented the three-year action plan for bringing new energy vehicles to the countryside, which specifies that by the end of 2023, more than 282000 new energy vehicles and 80000 new charging stations will be added in the entire region to guide rural residents in green and low-carbon travel. In September 2022, the Guangxi Development and Reform Commission and other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Transformation and Development of Rural Energy in Guangxi to Assist Rural Revitalization", clarifying measures such as promoting electric vehicles to rural areas, accelerating the layout and improvement of electric vehicle charging service networks.

In addition to policy support, sufficient electricity is also a prerequisite for new energy vehicles to go to the countryside. In recent years, Guangxi has implemented large-scale transformation and upgrading of rural power grids, significantly improving the power supply capacity of county-level rural areas. In 2022, Guangxi will focus on the modernization of agricultural and rural electricity demand, implement the rural power grid consolidation and upgrading project, and accelerate the improvement of rural power grid security capacity and intelligence level.

A complete charging and swapping network is a top priority for the development of the new energy vehicle industry chain. Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid Company has improved the layout of county-level charging networks, accelerated the full coverage of township charging facilities, created a convenient charging service platform, and optimized the promotion and application environment of new energy vehicles in county-level areas. Taking Liuzhou City as an example, Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid Company has established a comprehensive energy station based on the principle of "one district (county), one station" through government enterprise linkage and joint construction and sharing. It has planned to build a "10 minute charging circle" in Liuzhou, with over 3000 charging stations and 8 large comprehensive energy stations, including 3 county-level comprehensive energy stations, taking the lead in achieving full coverage of 79 townships.

The gradual improvement of charging facilities has promoted the gradual promotion of new energy vehicles in various townships in Guangxi. Located in Shuolong Town, Daxin County, Chongzuo City, on the border between China and Vietnam, new energy private cars shuttle on straight highways. Located in the old kapok scenic area of Aijiang Village in the town, the electric sightseeing car is charging. The sales director of the scenic area, Nong Xuan, said that everyone is now willing to choose green and low-carbon self driving. Many tourists have a demand for charging stations when booking hotels. The scenic hotels have improved charging facilities, stable voltage, and meet the green travel needs of tourists.

Data shows that as of October 2022, the cumulative ownership of new energy vehicles in Guangxi reached 398200 units. Among them, 143700 new vehicles were added from January to October 2022, with an incremental electrification rate of 30%.
