Honor today unveiled two entry-level smartphones in the Middle East market: the Honor X5b and Honor X5bPlus. The two phones only differ in terms of RAM and rear camera setup. The Honor X5b is priced at $80 (about 567 yuan), while the Honor X5bPlus costs $106 (about 751 yuan).
In terms of design, the Honor X5b series features a vertical midframe and a 6.56-inch 720P waterdrop screen. Both models come with a 5MP selfie camera. On the rear, they sport a "pseudo quad-camera" module. The Honor X5b features a 13MP + 0.8MP dual-camera setup, while the Honor X5bPlus is upgraded to a 50MP + 0.8MP dual-camera setup.
Performance-wise, the Honor X5b series is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 processor. This chipset was launched in February 2023 and employs a 12nm fabrication process. It includes eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The GPU is a PowerVR GE8320 running at a maximum frequency of 680MHz.
In terms of storage, both Honor X5b models come with 4GB of RAM. The Honor X5b has 64GB of internal storage, while the Honor X5bPlus offers 128GB. Battery-wise, both phones pack a 5200mAh battery.
