On May 21st, IT Home reported that according to a recent survey conducted by automation software company UiPath, the majority of employees (about 60%) believe that using artificial intelligence (AI) driven automation solutions can alleviate job burnout and significantly improve job satisfaction. In addition, 57% of respondents stated that they have a more positive view of employers who adopt business automation to support employees and simplify operations, reflecting their agreement with this approach.

As the workload intensifies, 28% of respondents say they have taken on additional responsibilities due to layoffs or recruitment freezes. 29% of employees worldwide experience job burnout. This has prompted people to increasingly rely on AI tools to alleviate stress.

These factors have led to the emergence of the so-called "automation generation" - a group of professionals regardless of age or demographic characteristics who actively adopt automation and AI to enhance collaboration, stimulate creativity, and improve productivity. These people actively seek technologies that can improve their professional and personal lives.

One of the main findings of the survey is that 31% of respondents stated that they have already used business automation solutions in the workplace. The automation generation subgroup believes that they have the necessary resources and support (87%) to effectively fulfill their responsibilities. In addition, 83% of these employees believe that business automation solutions can effectively alleviate job burnout and improve job satisfaction.

More than half of the respondents expressed their belief that automation can solve job burnout and improve job satisfaction, which clearly indicates that AI driven business automation technology has had a positive impact on business and technical personnel, helping them reduce time spent on repetitive tasks and focus on more critical and interesting tasks.

She emphasized that this statement is supported by the fact that 80% of respondents who have already used business automation solutions believe that these solutions enable them to perform their work more effectively, and 79% have a more positive view of employers who implement business automation than those who do not.

A survey shows that global employees are increasingly inclined to use automated and AI driven tools to handle trivial tasks. Specifically, respondents expressed their desire for automation to assist them in tasks such as data analysis (52%), data input/creation (50%), IT/technical problem solving (49%), and report generation (48%).

When asked about the reasons for their job burnout and work fatigue, respondents listed working beyond the scheduled time (40%), pressure from managers and leadership (32%), and excessive involvement in tactical tasks (27%) as the main reasons.

AI driven automation has become a solution to alleviate the main causes of job burnout, enabling employees to quickly and easily locate and analyze data while simplifying repetitive and time-consuming tasks, "McInnis Day told VentureBeat.

In terms of the impact of automation tools on their work, respondents expressed their desire for greater flexibility in the work environment (34%), allocation of time to acquire new skills (32%), and dedicated time for critical tasks (27%).

Unlike previously defined generation categories, the automated generation includes all age groups and demographic characteristics, "explained McInnis Day, This is a group of professionals who embrace AI, utilizing these technologies to achieve more collaboration, creativity, and productivity, and utilizing these technologies to provide more satisfying and positive workplace experiences, enrich their personal lives, and prevent them from feeling like robots as a whole. They are seeking to rejuvenate and restore meaning in their work - and automation is helping them achieve this goal

IT Home noticed that, as expected, surveys show that young employees are more accepting of these new technologies. The majority of respondents from Generation Z (69%), Millennials (63%), and Generation X (51%) firmly believe that automation has the potential to improve their work performance.

Among the surveyed employees, 31% of respondents stated that they are already using business automation solutions (39% are Millennials and 42% are Generation Z). In addition, among the 31% of respondents who have already used business automation solutions, 87% believe they have the necessary resources and support to effectively complete their work. "McInnis Day added.

The survey was conducted in March 2023 and collected online responses from 6460 executives worldwide.
