According to reports, the current 13 inch MacBookAir was released in June 2022, while the 15 inch model will be launched next week. Both models currently use M2 chips manufactured using TSMC's 5nm process.
Regarding the M3 chip, it is reported that it will adoptTSMC's 3nm manufacturing process improves performance and energy efficiency. Gurman stated that the M3 chip should have a similar number of CPU and GPU cores as the M2 chip.
