IT Home announced on May 31st that the Yuzu development team recently announced that their Nintendo Switch emulator has officially supported the Android platform.
Yuzu is currently one of the most popular Switch emulators on PCs, allowing users to play their favorite Switch games on more powerful hardware. Now it has finally landed on the Android platform. However, this is an early version and it is not guaranteed to run on all devices.
Previously, the best Switch emulator on the Android platform may have been the Skyline emulator, which can run many independent and popular games and is considered one of the best emulators on the Android platform. However, due to Nintendo's recent increase in crackdown, the Skyline Simulator development team has stopped working on it.
If you want to try the Yuzu simulator, you need a device equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or newer processors (preferably Snapdragon 8Gen1), as well as at least 8GB of memory. Except for the Exynos2200, other MediaTek and Samsung Exynos processors are not expected to support it.
As for performance, the Yuzu development team shared their game testing data. From the results, many games can be run directly, such as Super Mario 3D World+Fury World, which can run perfectly on the Samsung Galaxy S23. To use the Yuzu emulator, you need to export the game and decryption key from your own Switch.
IT Home has noticed that Yuzu has two versions: the regular version and the early access version, which require a one-time fee to obtain testing updates for new features.
