On May 31st, IT Home announced that Microsoft has released a blog post today,A vulnerability named "Migrate" has been discovered in the macOS system and a reminder has been sent to Apple.

Microsoft stated in a blog post that attackers with root level privileges can exploit this vulnerability to "automatically bypass" System Integrity Protection (SIP) and perform arbitrary operations.

Microsoft outlined in its blog post the ways in which attackers can exploit SIP vulnerabilities, and provided a detailed introduction to the discovery process, utilization methods, and negative impacts.

Another feature of this vulnerability is its support for remote operations, which means that attackers can cooperate with other vulnerabilities to bring greater destructive power.

Microsoft stated that simply fixing MigrationAssistant cannot effectively prevent attackers from exploiting this vulnerability. Attackers can use AppleScript to exploit a specially crafted TimeMachine backup file to run the vulnerability.

Apple has fixed the aforementioned vulnerability in the mmacOSVentura13.4 update released on May 18th, so it is recommended that users upgrade as soon as possible. IT Home has attached a detailed introduction link from Microsoft regarding this vulnerability, which interested users can click to read.
