Leaked renders of Google's upcoming Pixel 9a have surfaced online, marking the first leak about the phone ahead of its fall release. Similar to the Pixel 8a leaks earlier this year, these renders for the new budget-friendly A-series phone come courtesy of AndroidHeadlines, once again sourced from OnLeaks, who has been responsible for revealing details about the recent Pixel 9 series phones. The leaked renders showcase the biggest change in the Pixel 9a: the camera housing abandons Google's signature horizontal camera bar design. Instead, the dual camera setup resides in a pill-shaped module that sits almost flush with the phone's back. The camera flash is positioned on the right side of the module, giving it a resemblance to the rear of the iPhone 7 Plus, but with a larger footprint.

Beyond the camera housing, the Pixel 9a's design appears to align with other Pixel 9 devices and the current iPhone lineup. The bezels around the screen appear thin, resulting in a clean and modern aesthetic. AndroidHeadlines points out that the Pixel 9a might be powered by Android 15 and could be the last Google device to feature a Samsung Tensor-based chip, as the company plans to switch to TSMC for future processor manufacturing starting from 2025.
